What could be nicer than a night of live folk-ish sounding music? Not
much, especially when the live folk artist in question is THE
INCONSOLABLE, Bristol-based singer-songwriter-type person whose work has
been compared to other folk-tastic artists like Elliott Smith, Martin
Carthy and Pat Metheny. He’s great, we love him and we think that you will
too.

His debut album will be coming out early in 2006, but in the meantime
you’ll be able to catch him right here in Romania for a *Death Disco
special*, in the worryingly intimate setting of Ota’s crib. When you’re
grandchildren ask you “Where were you when The Inconsolable played in
Bucharest, just before his Mercury Music prize-winning debut album was
released, and prior to his life descending into a giddying downwards
spiral of drug abuse, meaningless sexual encounters and his own
terrifyingly closely publicised premature demise,” you’ll be able to tell
them, “I was there.”
