In the short history of digital photography, manufacturers have dropped support for asset management applications, abandoned settings from older RAW processor versions and changed the methods of storing basic camera settings without documentation.

When MTV aired its first ever music video on August 1, 1981, it was no coincidence that it was “Video Killed the Radio Star” by The Buggles. Since that moment, the music video has grown to be a discipline apart, acting as a showcase for creativity and innovation. Fast forward two decades to 2001 and no one had yet thought of recording an album with the videos already built in to it. Then along came UK duo HEXSTATIC from Ninja Tune with their debut audio-visual LP “Rewind.” It featured a CD-Rom music video, which the user could play on their computer and watch while listening to the music.

HEXSTATIC are Stuart Warren Hill and Robin Brunson, and together they have been vibing club-goers since '95, taking the AV/VJ phenomenon to new levels and consistently breaking new grounds in Audio-Visual entertainment.

HEXSTATIC are performing the second time in a museum after Guggenheim in Bilbao, last year.

Marti, 19 Aprilie 2005 O unda luminoasa va traversa astazi teritoriul Romaniei, in semn de omagiu adus celebrului fizician Albert Einstein, in “Anul fizicii 2005”, informeaza Electrica. Unda de lumina a pornit aseara de la Princeton (SUA), a traversat America de Nord, Asia, Rusia, Turcia, Bulgaria si va fi preluata de Romania, astazi, la ora 21.00, la Calarasi. Unda va traversa apoi orasele Bucuresti, Pitesti, Craiova, Tr. Severin, Lugoj, Timisoara, Jimbolia, Filiasi, Hunedoara, Cluj-Napoca, ajungind la granita de vest la 21.45. La Craiova, unda se va imparti in doua rute, una spre Serbia si alta spre Ungaria. Rind pe rind, orasele de pe traseu isi vor opri iluminatul public pe principalele strazi, pentru doua minute. In acest timp, grupe de elevi vor semnaliza cu lanternele spre cer.

OFFSET este un proiect experimental de sustinere a artei tinere din Romania. Proiectul a fost initiat si dezvoltat de Vali Chincisan si Dorel Naste, cu sprijinul Fundatiei de Arte Hag.

OFFSET[2004] prezinta o selectie de 36 de proiecte realizate de 19 artisti tineri romani in anul precedent.

Proiectul a fost demarat datoritei numarului scazut de resurse in format digital ale artei contemporane din Romania.

De la Valentin Panduru - Alternativ:

Daca cineva inca nu stie, in Bucuresti, de 1 Aprilie, Sukar Collective a cantat live. Pe scena Arcub, au aparut atunci, mai intai, Sunday People, cu vocal Maca(BabaNovac). Dupa care, DJ Vasile, Matze, Dan Handrabur(Dreamdoktor), Crystaline, Vlaicu Golcea, Mitos(PlanetaMoldova) si desigur Tamango. A fost fenomenal. Daca cineva a pierdut Electrip1, Alternativ ofera cronica completa(audio/foto/video). Secvente din cantari si muzici cu Sukar Collective. http://www.alternativ.ro/interviuSukar.html

Altfel, e bine de retinut ca pe 24 aprilie se intampla un nou Electrip. La fel, Sunday People si Sukar Collective. Bilete, inca, se mai gasesc la Arcub. Un biletel costa aproape 160 de mii de lei. Tot acolo o sa gasiti si albumul Sukar Collective - Taves Bahtalo la 150 de mii. Dupa aceasta cantare, nu se mai stie cand se vor strange toti pe o scena. Pe 24 mai, Sukar Collective pleaca afara sa lanseze albumul. Acum ar mai fi o sansa, pentru cei care vor sa ii vada. Sper sa profitati de ea.
